When the Meghan contacted me for her Ft. Steilacoom maternity session, she mentioned they were a military family! It’s such an honor for me to photograph military families. When we found out husband Lino would be unable to attend the session due to his service, we planned to include him in a creative way. I think the images are some of Meghan’s favorites.
We met at the park early on a Saturday morning, long before the dog walkers and runners would be there enjoying the crisp weekend day. We were able to fully explore all the areas the beautiful space has to offer. Megan was such a joy to photograph, she was literally game for anything I suggested and her smile is infectious. We giggled and joked throughout the day. I feel like I gained a friend that day as well as an amazing client.
Pregnant women will always amaze me. There is no more amazing thing that the human body can accomplish. It is no small feat to grow a human with your body and I think the beauty in that should absolutely be celebrated. I hope Megan and Lino will cherish these images forever. The moments before their love multiplied and two became three.
