Every bride has their version of the “perfect” wedding. What they have dreamed since they were little girls pretending pillowcases on their heads were veils and picking daisy bouquets. As the Photographer I really have one job. To professionally, creatively, uniquely capture YOUR wedding day .
Bridal portraits have been around for years, particularly in the southern United States. As a photographer, I absolutely LOVE these types of sessions, and luckily they’re beginning to catch on here in the PNW
Here are a few top reasons to consider :
- Feeling relaxed in front of the camera. Your wedding day can be extremely stressful if you let it, and since your photographer is going to be with you literally ALL DAY, having a camera in your face the entire time can be a bit weird if you’re not used to it. Scheduling a bridal or Engagement session beforehand, allows to get used to how your photographer works, get to know each other better and therefore, end up looking much more natural in your photos. It also allows you to time to talk about things you want to make sure to capture on that special day.
- TIME! A wedding day is crunched for time. In most cases, that hour or so you have for wedding portraits dwindles down pretty quickly. Your guest want to celebrate your joyous day with you! A bridal session ensures we’re not in a rush to head off to the reception or leaving your guests waiting for hours on end. With portraits before we can spend the time getting amazing photos
- How do I look? You’re most likely getting a hair and makeup trial anyway, so being able to put everything together – hair, makeup, accessories, veil, dress – can make you see exactly how you will look for your wedding day. You’ll be able to see exactly what does (or doesn’t) work, and give you time to change it before your big day.
- First look! The ONE moment brides anticipate the MOST on their special day is the split second the LOVE of her life sees her for the first time in her gorgeous gown. She is feeling the most in love and likely the most beautiful she’s ever felt. Now imagine having that moment with just the two of you not from far away down the isle. Imagine seeing the love on your grooms face. The first look is an opportunity for me to capture the most genuine emotions from the bride and groom. As the groom is waiting for his bride, standing in anticipation, It’s likely that he is nervous and anxious for the big reveal .First look photos also allow you choose an epic location and have these special intimate memories captured for a lifetime.
